"Know all men by these presents that I John McDonnel of County of Indiana
and State of Pennsylvania for and in consideration of the sum which I stand
endebted to Jonathan Agey of the county and State aforesaid and for the
further consideration of as much grain as I the said John McDonnel and family
may stand in need of till after harvest of until the middle of August next
after the date thereof do hereby convey, sell, release & revise unto
the said Jonathan Agey his heirs ... one black horse with bald face, one
bay horse with a bald face, one plow & givers, one red cow and one year
old colt[?] To have and to hold the said property to the said Jonathan Agey
... until the whole of said amount which I owe or may owe to the said Agey
(on the first day of May next ensuing the date have or be paid or the said
Agey be satisfied said amount), then this conveyance to be void & of
none effect, otherwise to be lien on the aforesaid property to him the said
Agey.

"This Indenture made this nineteenth day of December 1812 by and between
Joseph McDonald and Catherine McDonald his wife of the Township of Wheatfield
in the County of Indiana and Sate of Pennsylvania yeoman of the one part
and James Innis of Millford Township and county of Mifflin of the other
part. Witnesseth that the said Joseph McDonald and Catherine McDonald his
wife hath for and in consideration of two hundred and thirty six dollars
& fifty cents ... truly paid by the said James Innis ...confirm unto
the said James Innis his heirs and assigns forever all that tract, plantation
or parcel of land situate lying and being in Lack Township county and State
aforesaid bounded as follows South...thence by Enoch Bartons land... containing
59 acres and 56 perches sold by Joseph Scott thence to Samuel Davis being
the part said Scott reserved to himself and afterwards sold to John Morgan
as per indenture bearing date the 13th day of March 1777 doth appear and
one moiety of said tract is now held by the heirs of Theophilus McDonald
as by Indenture bearing date August the 24th 1779 doth fully appear and
part of said premises is held by an improvement -- which tract above mentined
was sold by John Scott to Joseph McDonald bearing date February the 13th
1786 doth appear all which tract above mentioned and bounded as aforesaid...in
Witness whereof we do set our hands this 14th day of January 1813.

"To all to whom these presents shall come, I, James Gordon Esquire,
High Sheriff of the County of Indiana .... Whereas William Parker surviving
obligee of Hugh Leany lately, (that is to say) on the 28th day of May AD
1827 Before James McCahan Esquire one of the Justices of the peace in the
County of Indiana aforesaid to keep assigned recovered against John McDonald
Hugh McDonald & Alexander Carnahan as well a certain debt of $21.40,
as $2.89 costs as by the transcripts of the said Judgment filed among the
records of our Court of Common pleas ... And it being suggested by the said
William Parker ... that the said John McDonald Hugh McDonald & Alexander
Carnahan had no goods and chattels by which the debt and costs aforesaid
could be satisfied ... By virtue of which the said writ of Fieri Facias
of the lands and tenements of the said John McDonald [etc] they having no
goods and chattels in his balliwick wherewith to satisfy the said execution,
he the said Clemence McGara sheriff seized and took in execution all the
right title interest and claim of Alexander Carnahan of in and to 413 acres
of land situate in Wheatfield Township ... adjoining lands of Matthew Dill,
Alexander Wilson, and others unimporved ... the premises remained in his
[sheriffs] hands unsold ... And whereas afterwards by a writ of Venditioni
Exponas, of the said Commonwealth, issued out of the Court of Common Pleas
aforesaid, tested the 28th day of March 1828 and to me directed I ... did
on the 25th day of June in the year 1828 espose the lands ... to sale ...
and sold the same ot Matthew Dill of Wheatfield Township ... for the sum
of $30 ... he being the highest and best bidder ...
Now know ye that I, the said James Gordon Exquire ... for ... the aforesaid
sum of $30 ... have granted ... all that the said right title interest and
claiim of alexander Carnahan of in and to 413 acres ...[no mention of John
or Hugh McDonald having any legal interest in this land] ... this 27th day
of June 1828.

" This Indenture made the 29th day of December in 1829 between Joseph
McDonald of the one part and Jane Craig of the other part. Whereas the said
Joseph McDonald in and by these certain obligations or writing - obligatory
under his hand and seal duly executed, bearing even date herewith stands
bound unto the said Jane Craig in the sum of one hundred and twenty four
dollars & 87 cents ... with interest from the 5th day November 1829
until paid, payable in three equal annual payments from the date without
any fraud or further delay ... Now, this Indenture Witnesseth that the said
Joseph McDonald as well for and in consideration of the aforesaid debt or
sum of $124.87 And for the better securing the payment thereof with its
interest unto the said Jane Craig ... in consideration of the further sum
