1843, Will of Mary McDonald

"This being my last will I being of sound mind and memory and wishing to dispose of all my property I will as follows to wit hereby bequeath to William Maxwell of the Borough of Mercer in trust and for the sole and separate use of my daughter Elizabeth Hamill wife of Archibald Hamill all my property money goods and chattells wearing apparill after paying my funeral expenses and debts to be given to the said elizabeth and her children as the said trustee may see they need it and I hereby appoint the said William Maxwell my executor to execute this my will

Signed sealed & delivered by the testater to be her last will & Testament In presence of this 20th day of Jun e1843

Be it Rembered that on the 27th day of March 1850 Personally came before the subscriber Register for the probate of wills etc in & for said county J. P. Garrett & Saml. Henderson the two subscribing witnesses to the above will who being duly sworn according to law doth depose and say that they were present with and saw the Testator Mary McDonald sign the said will by making her mark and heard her declare the same to be her last will & Testament that she the Testator was of sound & disposing mind memory & understanding to the best of deponents knowledge observation & belief and that deponents subscribed their names as witnesses in their own proper hand unto and in the presence & at the request of said testator.
