"This Indenture made & concluded this Seventh day of March in the year of our Lord 1800 Between Samuel Ewing & Margaret his wife John McDonald & Rebecca McDonald all of Hamilton County in the territory North-West of the Ohio of the one part & John Bratton of Mifflin County & State of Pennsylvania of the other part . Witnesseth that Duncan McDonald late of Wayne Township Cumberland now Mifflin County & State of Pennsylvania died intestate being possessed of a tract of land in the Township of Wayne & County & State aforesaid leaving two sons & two daughters viz John Alexander Agness and Margrate of whom John the Eldest son moved to the territory Northwest of the Ohio & of there also died intestate leaving one son & three daughters viz John Ester Margrate & Rebecca of whom Ester the oldest daughter married Daniel Nelson & by their release dated the 10th day of March in the year of our Lord 1800 Released to John McDonald Jr. their claim to the estate of John McDoanld deceased as by the aforesaid instrument of writing more fully appears.
Now this indenture Witnesseth that the aforesaid Samuel Ewing & Margrate his wife John McDonald & Rebecca McDonald heirs of John Mcdonald deceased have granted, bargained and sold ... to John Bratton of Mifflin county aforesaid all their right ... to the estae of their grandfather Duncan McDonald aforesaid ... In Witness whereof they have hereto set their hands & seals the day & year first written above"

"This Indenture made the 28th day in the year of our Lord 1804 between David McDomeld of Greenwood Township in the County of Mifflin ... and Francis Courtney of the township County and state aforesaid yeoman of the other part .
Whereas by virtue of a warrant Granted to William Field which warrant was conveyed to John Browne and from Brown to David McDonald bearing date at Philadelphia the 10th day of September 1774 for the quantity of 25 acres of land on the east of the east branch of Corolamus[?] creek bounded on the waters of Robert Dicks run about two miles from Robert Dicks land beginning ... to the place of beginning containing 27 3/4 acres. Now this indenture witnesseth that the said David McDonald aforesaid in consideration of the sum of 40 pounds ... have granted ... unto the said Francis Courtney .. all that the above mentioned tract of 27 acres and 3/4 of land ... [etc]"

"This Indenture made the 28th day of May ... 1804 between David McDonald of Greenwood township in the county of Mifflin ... and Francis Courtney ... whereas by virtue of warrant bearing date at Philadelphia the 6th day of April 1796 there was surveyed to the same David McDonald a certain tract of land situate lying and being in the township county and state aforesaid adjoining to lands of William Fields and John Jones claim beginning at a pine .... to the place of beginning containing 184 acres & 112 perches in allowance. Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said David McDoanld aforesaid in consideration of the sum of 40 pounds ... have granted ... unto the said Francis Courtney ... all that the above mentioned tract of 184 acres ... [etc]".

"Know all men by these presents that we Charles Morrow & Alice his wife Daniel McDonald & Catherine his wife Doth hereby Remise Release and forever Quit claim to Eleanor Morrow ...of in & to a certain warrant and warrant right for 23 acres of land lying and being in Lack township Mifflin county ... adjoining of land or near lands owned formerly by one Potts on the south Brice Collins on the East Pnear[?] William Connells on the north and the claim of Thomas Dobbs on the west held by a warrant in the name of Jonathan Kersley & surveyed & Returned unto the Land office of Pennsylvania for and in consideration of the full sum of 5 shillings to us in hand paid ... by Charles & Alice Morrow Daniel & Catherine McDonald likewise we the aforesaid Charles and Alice his wife Daniel McDonald and Catharine his wife ... doth hereby remise release & forever Quit claim to all and each of their right title claim ... in & to all the real & personal estate formerly belonging to our father Andrew Morrow to our sister Eleanor Morrow for the use of her heirs and assigns ... for and in consideration of the full sum of 5 shillings to us in hand paid by the said Eleanor ... Witness our hands & seals this 13th day of May 1812."

"This Indenture made this 6th day of April in the year ... 1821 by and between John McDonald and Mary his wife of Milford Township Mifflin County ... and David McDonald of the township county and state aforesaid ... Witnesseth That the said John McDonald & Mary his wife hath for and in consideration of the sum of $367.15 paid by the said David McDonald with a part of what what was due to the said David McDonald out of the Estate of Theophilus McDonald Dec'd ... hath bargained, sold ... unto the said David McDonald ... all his the said John McDonald & Mary his wife's right ... to a certain Message tract or parcel of land situate lying & being in Milford township in the county and state aforesaid whereon the said David McDonald now[?] liveth adjoining Lands of Theopelus McDonald and Andrew Brickley the heirs of John Stewart dec'd & others containing 86 acres & 117 perches being part of three adjoining surveys ... [ for a description of land and deed transfers, see deed Book I, page 83: David & John McDonald from Thomas H. Stewart et al, 1807, excepting the 2nd parcel of land, here described as:] containing 2 acres and 50 perches it being part of a tract of land sold and conveyed by James Hedlestone to James Mackey and which James Mackey and Sarah his wife by deed dated the 20th day of April 1797 sold and conveyed to the aforesaid John Stewart ...
