"This Indenture made the 27th day of August in...1773, between Martin McDonnald of Ohio Township of Middletown in the County of Cumberland and Province of Pa yeoman ...and Robert McKinzie of the County and Province aforesaid, gentleman,...Whereas the said Martin McDonald in and by a certain obligation or writing obligatory under his hand and seal bearing even date herewith stands bound unto the said Robert McKinzie in the sum of six hundred pounds ...conditioned for the payment of three hundred pounds ...on the first day of September next ensuing the date hereof together with lawful interest for the same as in and by the said recited obligation and condition thereof relation being thereunto had more at large appears. Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said Martin McDonald for and in consideration of the aforesaid debt or sum of three hundred pounds and for the better securing the payment thereof with its interest unto the said Robert McKinzie his executors [etc] ...in discharge of the said recited obligation and for and in consideration of the further sum of five shillings unto the said Martin McDonald paid by the said Robert McKinzie at the sealing and delivery here of the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted....a certain plantation and tract of land situate nigh the water of Jacob's Creek in Mount Pleasant Township adjoining lands of Joshua Mick H...[sic] Bay and other containing three hundred acres ...

This Indenture...25th day of February in the year..1782 between George McDonal of Mount Pleasant Township and County of Westmoreland weaver of the one part and John Aguin of the same place reedmaker of the other part. Witnesseth that the said George McDonald for...45 pounds...hath granted...one hundred and fifteen acres of wood land laying in the survey whereon the said George McDonal now lives with the usual allowance to be laid off on the north or east lines of said survey as may but please said John Aguin in which parcel of land there is to be four acres of meadow ground and also all trees, wood, ......

This Indenture made the 20th day of [Jan] 1794 between John McDonald and Ellinor his wife of Westmoreland County...and William Anderson of the County ...aforesaid...whereas patent and confirmation ...was granted to John McDonald for two hundred & thirty one acres a quarter and allowance of six per cent for roads & called Nancy or Betsy dated the eight day of April ...1790 and inrolled in the rolls office of said Commonwealth in Patent Book No 16[?] page 244 ...for and in consideration of the sum of twenty seven pounds six shillings...sold...a part of land called Nancy or Betsey aforesaid beginning at a post thence by lands of William Anderson ...by land of James McGrew...containing 150 acres and 120 perches of land ....[etc]

This indenture made the 5th day of August...1796 between Robert Owen of the Township of Augusta in the County of Northumberland and the state of Pa., yeoman..and John McDonald and Thomas Goodwin both of the city of Philadelphia...in consideration of the sum of 300 Spanish silver dollars to him in hand paid by the said John McDonald & Thomas Goodwin ...tract of land called Mount Pleasant situate on the waters of Two Lick Creek in Westmoreland county and state aforesaid beginning at a hickory thence by land of Benjamin Burd...thence by land of Abigail Seargeant...thence by land of John Thompson...containing 400 acres...which tract of land the Commonwealth of Pa by their letters patent ....the 22nd day of July in the year...1796 recorded in patent Book No 29 page 188 granted unto the said Robert Owen in fee ....[etc]

...John McDonald of Wolf Creek Township Messer[sic] County in the State of Pa...and Mary his wife late Mary Huber one of the daughters and heirs at law of Simon Huber late of Hempfield Township Westmoreland County ...at the time of his decease was seized in his demene as of fee (inter alia) of in and to a tract of land situate in the Township of Hempfield aforesaid adjoining lands of Jacob France, Adam Shaeffer, and Peter Huber containing 127 acres...and whereas the said Simon Huber left a widow to wit Molly & five children to wit Mary intermarried with the said John McDonald, Elizabeth, intermarried with Clement Pearson, Molly, Catharine, & Daniel, all of whom survive him Now know ye that we the above named John McDonald & Mary his wife late Mary Huber in right of the said Mary for & in consideration of the sum of fifty pounds...have revised, released & forever quit claimed...unto Peter Huber of the Township of Hempfield ...our fifth part of the within described premises to the said Peter Huber....this 3rd day of February in the year...1807.
