Buses by the Beach

The Volks at Buses by the Beach are happy to announce the dates of the 3rd Annual Benefit Campout in conjunction with the Burn Survivor Car Show. This year we will be expecting well over 50 buses from all over the country. Come join us for a fun filled (hopefully dry) weekend. May 20-22, 2005 at Grand Rogue Campgrounds in Belmont, Michigan. Organized Activities

Raffle -No one is going to go home empty handed. We have lots of VW related items that have been donated for our fund raising raffle by Volkswagen of America, GoWesty, Bus Depot, and many, many other thoughtful Volk Folks.

Saturday - Car Show. The car show on Saturday is a separate event put on by different people but it is
also a fund raiser for the same cause. Also, the Karmann Ghia Treffen Cruise and Herbie & Friends Cruise Across America is coming to our event on Saturday. A group of 50-100 Karmann Ghias is leaving California and cruising across the country and stopping at our show between 12-2pm on Saturday May 21st. Highlights & Things

For those that are new to Buses By the Beach.com we are an organization with the goal in mind of raising money for the Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors and the Spectrum Health Burn Care Unit. We do this through the campground donating $5 per night per site to the event. All the money we raise is applied to a matching grant foundation that will match what we raise for our charities.

Saturday car show - There is going to be over 500 cars there. The cars will mostly be American Iron. Last year we were the hit of the show. We arrived late in true VW style like a herd of angry bumble bees all lined up. There were pretty buses, rusty buses and sticker buses all together celebrating the vehicles we love and the fun we have with them. Also, the Karmann Ghia Treffen Cruise and Herbie & Friends Cruise Across America is coming to our event on Saturday. A group of 50-100 Karmann Ghias is leaving California and cruising across the country and stopping at our show between 12-2pm on Saturday May 21st.

On Sunday we are cara-busing (caravanning) to the Michigan Vintage Volkswagen Club annual Car Show. This is one of the countries premier events with both Hot VW and VW Trends magazines present. MVVC is one of our major supporters and have donated a generous sum of money to our
cause. They have invited our group to be an official participant in the show and would like us to talk a little about what we do over the loud speaker.

We can not wait to be together again with our friends and we are looking forward to meeting new ones.
