JOHN VINATTI McDONALD - born ??
"Well Known Musician is Dead
Prof. McDonald, of Bolesville, Dies This Morning
A Finished Artist Studied in Europe
A Favorite in Musical Social and Religious circles - Leaves A Mourning Wife

While the death of Prof. John Vinatti McDonald, which occurred at his home in Bolesville, at 8:30 o'clock this forenoon, was not unexpected, it will nevertheless cause sincere regret to an unusually large number of friends throughout the Beaver valley. A man of marked refinement of manners, accomplished far beyond most men in his chosen profession of music and cultured by study both in this country and in Europe he was, though always unobtrusive, ever a welcome guest at the social and religious gatherings in our towns. He was the second son of the late Captain John V. McDonald, and his early boyhood home was at Stone's Point, then among the most beautiful location in the county. He attended Columbia College, New York and later spent some years in Europe, perfecting himself in music, of which he has been a successful teacher for a number of years. In 1897, on the 20th of June, he married Miss Sarah E. Jackson of Bolesville. Miss Jackson was a graduate of Beaver college and later on an accomplished teacher in the Beaver Falls public schools. They were an ideal couple, with a home where affection and refinement were marked features. Prof. McDonald is survived by his wife, one sister, Mrs. Dr. Wiley, of Pittsburgh, and four brothers, Captain James McDonald of Bridgewater, Addison, Charles and Sharp, all dentists of Pittsburgh. The funeral will be at 2 o'clock on Thursday afternoon from the Presbyterian church of Bridgewater, whose choir he so long controlled, and in whose membership he so long performed such useful services.
