Volunteer Opportunities:

Your Sheffield Historical Society needs YOU!

Want to become more actively involved in the Sheffield Historical Society? Great…because we need your time, talent and energy!

The Sheffield Historical Society has a wide range of volunteer opportunities – something for everyone. Volunteers may select special projects, ongoing projects or one-time events as their volunteer contribution to the Society. If you wish to volunteer, we are dedicated to finding the right volunteer opportunity for you – one where you’ll enjoy the experience and know you’re making a difference!

As a volunteer, would you like to:

  • Be a tour guide (docent) at the Dan Raymond House?
  • Work with school age children when they come to learn about Sheffield’s history?
  • Help select programs presented at the monthly meetings?
  • Assist in the inventory and care of the Society’s collections?
  • Help out at one of the Society’s events like the upcoming Festival of Trees or Holiday Stroll?
  • Bake refreshments for a monthly meeting?
  • Assist in maintaining the Society’s records?

If any of these interest you, or if you would like to do something not listed, let’s talk! We’d love to hear your ideas and help you volunteer in an area that will be of interest to you and us.

Please call 413-229-2694 or email shs@sheffieldhistory.org
